Successful Trivia Afternoon
with Parishioners of Our Lady of Dolours Parish, Chatswood
A very big thank you to all the parishioners and guests who attended our May 4th Trivia afternoon. A great afternoon was had by all who attended. Congratulations to those who won Trivia, Raffle and Game prizes.
A total of $4,107.30 was raised to support ATLAS Projects in Timor-Leste.
Visit to Timor-Leste
On May 12th, Greg Mills, Monsignor Brian Rayner (Asia Pacific Foundation) and I travelled to Timor-Leste. During our stay, Greg provided training for Maria and Getrudes on the accounting software package for Fundação ATLAS Timor-Leste.
Both Maria and Getrudes found the training very helpful for the keeping of the Foundation’s accounts. Thank you to Greg for all the preparation undertaken relative to this training.
Thank you to Monsignor Brian for the support given to ATLAS Projects and to the support he has given to Projects in Timor-Leste through the ASIA Pacific foundation.
VIVA Timor-Leste Independence Day celebrations
May 20th was Independence Day in Timor-Leste. The National flag was displayed all over Dili and beyond, with many celebrations being undertaken.
I, along with Monsignor Brian Rayner, attended Independence Day Celebrations at Eskola Dominica (Dominican School), Hera.
The school and community came together for a flag-raising ceremony, along with entertainment and dancing provided by the students.
