On behalf of the people of East Timor we sincerely thank all of our Donors for your support. Your contribution has made a significant difference to the lives of the Timorese people we assist.
Over 2,000 people have been positively affected by donations to ATLAS. Other past 8 years we’ve contributed over AU$1.4 million dollars to projects on the ground in Timor-Leste. This is significant!
Why your Donation matters
Your contribution will make a significant difference to the lives of the people we assist with your help. You have made a decision to improve the education of primary school children, support orphans, provide tertiary and vocational training for young women, help pay teachers’ salaries and give a start to a person wanting to make a living through training or business micro grants.
But not only are you changing people’s lives you are helping to repay a debt that we as Australians owe to the people of Timor Leste. When Australia invaded East Timor in 1942 to fend off the advancing Japanese, the Timorese people paid a bloody price. Over 40,000 Timorese died as a direct result of helping our men.
Australia left East Timor with a promise to never forget their people.
