Institutu Ciençias Religiosas (ICR, or College Bispo Medeiros) has 300 students studying to be teachers and social workers.
Here Chris saw last year’s ATLAS water project, which means that the students and teachers now have accessible water at the college. The college leaders have improved the pipes and have covered the tank and pump, making the project a successful one indeed.
They are now preparing a proposal for ATLAS to pump water up to the women’s accommodation above the college. One hundred women from the districts are accommodated in three dormitories, although one of the dormitories is quite rudimentary.
